Natural stone refers to the general term for the products that have been mined from natural rock masses and processed into blocks or plate-like materials. Natural stone used for building decoration mainly consists of granite and marble.

Natural stone has a unique texture, which needs waxing and other care in daily use. However, natural stone will produce anti-alkali or pigmentation due to its natural pores and other properties.

The so-called marble refers to sedimentary or metamorphic rocks of carbonate rocks, marble, dolomite, limestone, sandstone, shale and slate. For example, the famous white marble in China is the dolomite produced in Beijing Fangshan, while the marble in Yunnan is the marble produced in Dali County, and the famous Dandong Green is the serpentinized skarn. Similarly, various types of magmatic rocks, such as granite, andesite, diabase, travertine, gneiss, etc., are used for stone mining as granite.

One view: The surface structure of natural stone is observed with the naked eye. In general, a uniform fine stone material has a delicate texture and is a natural stone; coarse and unequal grain stones have poor appearance, mechanical mechanical properties are not uniform, and the quality is somewhat poor. In addition, due to the geological effects of natural stone often produce some small cracks in it, natural stone is most likely to break along these parts, should be removed. The lack of edges and corners is even more aesthetically pleasing, especially when choosing.

Second Test: Use simple test methods to test the quality of natural stone. Usually, a small amount of ink is dripped on the back of natural stone. If the ink quickly spreads out and leaches out, it indicates that the particles inside the natural stone are loose or there are gaps. The quality of the stone is not good. On the contrary, if the ink drops are not moving, it means that the stone is dense. Good texture (this is similar to ceramic tiles).

Three Listening: Listening to the sound of natural stone. In general, a good quality natural stone sounds crisp and melodious; on the contrary, if there is a microscopic crack inside the natural stone or the particles become loose due to weathering, the knocking sound is rough and dumb.
